Raegan’s Legacy Dog Bakery is a testament to the love and care we have for our canine companions. Our journey began over 8 years ago, sparked by our beloved Raegan and our concerns about the quality of food and treats available for dogs.

Raegan was not just a pet, but a cherished member of our family. Her well-being was our top priority, leading us to craft our own recipes to ensure she received only the best.

Tragically, we lost Raegan on August 22nd, 2022. Her memory, however, continues to inspire us. Since her passing, we have dedicated ourselves to refining our recipes and sharing them with all dog lovers.

Before we offered our inaugural dog treats, we furthered our research. We explored various recipes, ingredients, dog-friendly foods, and those that are not so beneficial for our fur babies. We also investigated what dogs prefer and what makes a treat highly valuable. While we do not claim to be expert canine nutritionists, we have grasped the fundamentals of creating treats that are both healthy and irresistible to our dogs.

According to the Department of Agriculture, all pet food, including treats, must display a Guaranteed Analysis, which represents the nutrient content of the product. This analysis is obtained by sending the treats to a lab for examination. The treats we currently offer all have a Guaranteed Analysis, and we will be offering other flavors within the year. The Guaranteed Analysis for our treats are printed on the back of our treat packaging and customers will be able to view them on the website prior to purchasing. Our state mandates that our labels specify minimum crude protein, minimum crude fat, maximum fiber, maximum moisture, and calories.

Throughout our journey, we have prioritized the use of wholesome ingredients. Our favorites include pumpkin, bananas, applesauce, sweet potatoes, and peanut butter, made only with peanuts. We do use oat flour in most of our recipes but will be offering Grain-Free varieties in the future.

Most of our treat recipes comprise five to six ingredients, but we also provide treats will one or two ingredients. Our fur babies and our testers love these! These include chicken feet, beef heart, beef liver, sweet potato fries and chips and sweet potato and chicken jerky.
